    Hello Thomas,
    The serial # of your inherited gun dates it to 1921. The lettering indicates it is a featherweight ejector model. You didn't specify as to the guage of the weapon, but depending on guage and condition it could be worth from several hundred to several thousand dollars. As a rule, smaller guage guns bring bigger dollars. If you had no desire to have the gun inspected by a competent gunsmith for shootability and bring her back into the game, or just keep her as a family heirloom, I'd certainly sell her to someone who appreciates old shotguns before I'd consent to her destruction or permanent disability. They aren't making them anymore! If you could post a few pictures, maybe someone on the forum here could tell you more about your old field grade.
