First, let me thank everyone for their kind replies to the newly smitten ones like myself. I really like the idea of a FAQ page so that we don't burn out our valuable knowledge base of online Experts. (yes, Dr. Bill I have read enough posts this week to realize just how humble you are)Questions like "when was my gun made" and "how much is it worth" or "what does this mark mean" are easily found on this site or other readily available sources. But please keep in mind that the discussions about inconsistencies and things less obvious are what have spurred me to scour the Internet for Col. Brophy's Good Book and to read literally every post on this site.
If I can offer my assistance to someone in compiling all of the things I thought of as a newbie for a start at the FAQS please point me in the right direction. I don't want to lose the insight from such knowledgeable people. After all it was your answers to somewhat redundant questions that gave us something to read to learn from in the first place!
