The 30000 range are hammerless guns to 49999. There were no hammer guns made from 1891-1893.
Starting at 50001 (my records) the attributes were the same as above until 1896 serial number 53627 which had the Type II hammers (s/n 53588 still has Type I hammers)
1897 serial number 54699 was a 6 pin lock, joint check but with the Type II hammer.
1899 serial numbers up to 59947 have the above attributes and is the last I have in my records.
Hammerless 16 gauges started at 60000.
70015-72926 1899 also is the same as above. In my records serial number 71016 is the first Royal Steel barrels I have.
The 6 pin lock ended around serial number 73000 (from my records)
73239 is the first serial number I have for the latest 3 pin lock with the Type III or "C" style hammers.
78619 again from my records is the when the joint check stopped.
I hope this helps others to recognize what changes were made and when.

Last picture is a 6 pin lock and it shows the screw that holds the mainspring in place. The 5 pin lock, the whole lock plate was made the thickness of the block and had to be machined.
But these were just "farm implement tools"
