Chas. Harbaugh (Charles Dana Harbaugh 1875-1947) won a Hunter Arms Lenox vase and what looks like an Edmund Osthaus oil painting with his L.C. Smith, as depicted in an old cabinet photograph on p. 268 of Houchins' (mislabeled as Harvey McMurchy). It also looks like he might have won a Hunter Arms medal that is hanging around his neck (some pretty good winnings!!). At this point I don't know the details of the shoot but what I do know is that Chas. lived near Manito, IL and was in the farming and grain elevator business. He was an active trapshooter and the secretary of the Manito Gun Club, which is no longer in existence.
