Prior to WWI a copy of the No. 30 screwdriver was manufactured in Germany for a short time under the HERMES brand. They were dropped from production when an agreement was reached with North Bros.
Today, they are again being manufactured in Germany and are being carried by Lee Valley Tools. Here's the website: http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=65747&cat=1,43411,43417
Although I can't be sure, the catalog photo doesn't show any markings.

: Hi Curt.
:
: Can you provide a photo please? The link in
: your post is to an ebay listing of plastic
: boxes marked Yankee. I believe all
: "YANKEE" 30/130 series spiral
: ratchet screwdrivers produced by North Bros.
: and subsequently Stanley tools were stamped
: as shown here .

: I have what I believe is a Yankee 30 but it
: has no markings, name or logo. Can it be a
: Yankee? Perhaps an early prototype? Any
