Thank you for all of the posts. I will be off line for awhile today. I have some things to do and of course, getting the sample for Gracie and taking her back there for another test. It looks like we may have a storm coming up this morning. Our water levels are way up this year. Have a nice weekend to all. Hope everyone is feeling ok to you and your loved ones.
Dr. Nazareth thinks Gracie has pancreatitis. It can be treated though he doesn't know what level or the severity this is since her kidneys are now infected and to what level. He wants her back in to do another test to see if she is diabetic also and if so, she would need shots each day and monitoring by him once a week until they can stabilize. She needs this test done as soon as possible he says so they can determine if this is another issue. It would be several days to know or not if she is positive. I pray she doesn't have to go through so much. He says this is a very serious situation / disease. We'll be here for her. I read from web md for healthy cats to learn more info about this disease.
We are going to try to get a urine sample before we go to his office. If not, they will do it there by a needle. Gracie is just laying around and doesn't want to do much. She did eat a little breakfast and drank plenty of water. Ron got her to take her medicines this morning and she has not thrown it up like both times last night. I sat up to 3 a.m. Hubby got up at 5 a.m. to watch her. I will let you all know in a few days when they tell us more. Thank you for thinking of her in wishes, thoughts and prayers. Hope everyone is doing alright and your families.
