"Sweetheart" was a landmark LP. John York, who played with the late virtuoso guitarist Clarence White, today plays over 30 instruments—string, keyboard and wind. He appeared on "Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde," "Ballad Of Easy Rider," and "Live At The Fillmore February 1969"—all superb recordings.
We hear much from John York and his former Byrds bandmate, Gene Parsons, on the "The Byrds Under Review" DVD. As I recall, David Crosby and Chris Hillman say just a few words on it and there is a caveat on its OBC stating: "THIS DVD IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY ALL BYRDS MEMBERS OR BY COLUMBIA RECORDS."

: I think that version of the Byrds toured with
: SAC after I left the band.
: As for my following them, it kind of ended
: with sweetheart of The Rodeo....An album I
: liked but thought it was an abandonment of
: their cool psychedelic country style and
: moved headlong into COUNTRY!
: I go in and out with country
: music....Sometimes I'll hear something that
: really moves me and I'm a fan....Then, like
: on country radio, they throw out all sense
: of taste and assault you with country crap
: ...
:
: Neil Young was mostly into talking about
: music and trading songs. He did say he loved
: where he came from in North
: Ontario....Kenora.
:
: He and Bruce Palmer were both from that
: area....So was Rick James and Goldy McJohn
: (from Steppenwolf)....They had a band in
: Toronto called The Minah Birds.

: many evolutions in personnel and musical
: style. The other feature was something called
: "Neil Young:Journeys" which
: chronicles the Springfield guitarists proud
: Toronto upbringing.were you big fans of the
