I sort of agree with you. There was a feeling amongst the support that Wrexham should be a football league club, but I guess that is no different to any other fanbase who believe that their club should be doing better than they are.
However, in a similar manner perhaps to Bury, this belief was fueled by a feeling of being cheated by poor owners and the football league. We had been a stable league one club for around a decade before the club was taken over by an owner whose aim was liquidate the club. I should add that there was no great demand for this new owner, it was simply that the previous owner (a local businessman) wanted to retire.
Wrexham was the first club to docked 10 points for going into administration which we never really recovered from. The points deduction was exactly what the owner wanted and therefore it seemed that the league essentially were complicit in our demise.
I am not daft enough to believe that this will last forever, but for the moment it's nice to have our time in the sun.
