No bad blood between us at all. David lives here in Denver (he's originally from Nashville) and performs in the local market - he does his thing, I do mine. We have done a couple shows together in the past, and I did help him extensively with his CD, "I'll Sing Out", playing pretty much every instrument I own and singing back-up vocals. But we haven't worked together in awhile. As Mike says, anybody can do a Kingston Trio Tribute. I pretty much do that in every show I do. Given my long association with the group, it's hard to get off stage without tipping my hat to both The Trio and The Brothers Four with at least a couple songs. And groups like Chilly Winds, The Ramblers, South Wind and others are basically Kingston Trio tribute groups. Actually, The Brothers Four sorta started out that way in the beginning. The Kingston Trio spawned "clone" folk groups at nearly every college campus back in "the day." And after 50 years, people continue to pay tribute to a group that really broke wind - er - ground in many areas of the music business. The music and the style will probably live on forever. It's true Americana!
