SS UMATILLA was a class T-2 tanker built by the Kaiser Swan Island shipyard in Portland, Oregon, in September-November 1943. See http://shipbuildinghistory.com/history/shipyards/4emergencylarge/wwtwo/kswanisland.htm and scroll to hull number 37. Also see http://www.aukevisser.nl/t2tanker/id796.htm which has details on the ship's history, plus two photographs.
For other photographs, please see this web page for sources of photographs of World War II-era merchant ships: http://www.usmm.org/photosource.html. A source of a photograph of UMATILLA may be the Mariners Museum in Newport News, Virginia. However, the second link for the Mariners Museum as displayed on the page I identify above is no longer valid. Instead, for help finding photographs and other materials held by the museum's library, contact library@marinersmuseum.org. The Mariners Museum will charge for copies of their photographs but I don't know how much.
Good luck.
