Re: Anyone convert to Fuel injection?
The stock engine is way stronger than I ever thought. The pistons, rods can and valvetrain in my engine are aftermarket but the rest is original GM stuff. So far this engine has made 242 RWHP @18 psi(my target goal was 225 crank hp @18 psi....smoked that goal). With a very safe tune. There would be more with a little leaner mixture and more timing. When I finish the new car I will turn it up to 24 psi and see if I can hit 300 RWHP. I can't risk blowing a head gasket on my daily driver! So far I have 11,000 miles on the new engine without a hiccup. About 30 mpg and I drive it everywhere. So to recap The stock engine 62 Hp SAEnet 40hp/liter New Turbo engine 242RWHP about 257 SAEnet @160hp/liter this gives 400% power increase with a 23% loss in fuel economy = WIN
