(Contd) NOW, as we begin a discussion to try to ascertain the difference between those who are appointed, who interact in the Spirit realm and receive Divine insight and visions from the Throne of Heaven not of their own choosing, but by the appointment of their anointing, and the methods used by those who would inappropriately meddle in the Spirit realm, resorting to measures deemed “Witchcraft”…let us consider the following terms: Main Entry: omen Pronunciation: \ˈô-mən\ Function: noun Etymology: Latin omin-, omen Date: 1582 : an occurrence or phenomenon believed to portend a future event : augury Main Entry: au·gu·ry Pronunciation: \ˈȯ-gyə-rç, -gə-\ Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural au·gu·ries Date: 14th century 1: divination from auspices or omens; also : an instance of this 2: omen, portent Main Entry: por·tent Pronunciation: \ˈpȯr-ˌtent\ Function: noun Etymology: Latin portentum, from neuter of portentus, past participle of portendere Date: circa 1587 1 : something that foreshadows a coming event : omen, sign 2 : prophetic indication or significance 3 : marvel, prodigy Main Entry: 1sign Pronunciation: \ˈsîn\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle English signe, from Anglo-French, from Latin signum mark, token, sign, image, seal; perhaps akin to Latin secare to cut — more at saw Date: 13th century 1 a: a motion or gesture by which a thought is expressed or a command or wish made known b: signal 2a c: a fundamental linguistic unit that designates an object or relation or has a purely syntactic function d: one of a set of gestures used to represent language; also : sign language 2: a mark having a conventional meaning and used in place of words or to represent a complex notion 3: one of the 12 divisions of the zodiac 4 a (1): a character (as a flat or sharp) used in musical notation (2): segno b: a character (as ÷) indicating a mathematical operation; also : one of two characters + and − that form part of the symbol of a number and characterize it as positive or negative 5 a: a display (as a lettered board or a configuration of neon tubing) used to identify or advertise a place of business or a product b: a posted command, warning, or direction c: signboard 6 a: something material or external that stands for or signifies something spiritual b: something indicating the presence or existence of something else c: presage, portent d: an objective evidence of plant or animal disease 7 plural usually sign : traces of a usually wild animal ex. "red Fox Sign": synonyms sign, mark, token, note, symptom mean a discernible indication of what is not itself directly perceptible. sign applies to any indication to be perceived by the senses or the reason . mark suggests something impressed on or inherently characteristic of a thing often in contrast to general outward appearance . token applies to something that serves as a proof of something intangible . note suggests a distinguishing mark or characteristic . symptom suggests an outward indication of an internal change or condition . Main Entry: div·i·na·tion Pronunciation: \ˌdi-və-ˈnâ-shən\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle English divinacioun, from Latin divination-, divinatio, from divinare Date: 14th century 1 : the art or practice that seeks to foresee or foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge usually by the interpretation of omens or by the aid of supernatural powers 2 : unusual insight : intuitive perception — di·vi·na·to·ry \də-ˈvi-nə-ˌtȯr-ç, də-ˈvî-nə-, ˈdi-və-nə-\ adjective http://www.merriam-webster.com/ People often think of witchcraft as a hedonistic sin, worthy of hell, but if you understand scripture, adhering to the practices of Sunday keeping, of forsaking Sabbath, is equally abominable. Likewise embracing the person and beliefs of those who do, especially those belief sets you know to obviously be a fallacy. Today, for obvious reasons, and not accept the mark of the beast, by embracing the false teachings of this world as to scriptural interpretations which I have been brought to a level of light to know are wrong, I unsubscribed from the newsletter. The issue I had with Prophecy Update which led me to quit reading their newsletter a while back however, was that shortly after subscribing to the newsletter, the began to try and sell me their prophecy. Proverbs 23, another one of my favorite chapters, in verse 23 commands us to PROV 23: 23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. Recently, another tried to sell me the "Truth," with promises that suggested by implication that if I purchased this truth, I could get closer to God. This greatly disturbs me. My problem is not with having buy the truth, but with those individuals who would sell it in the first place. The fact that they claim it is "truth" to which they are selling brings into question the very nature and legitimacy of their product. (CONT'd NEXT POST)
