Subject: A Sabbath Study on Divination, omens, signs, and truth.
To: cridercreativeworks@gmail.com
The subject matter of this study is to address divination, discuss the difference between Omens and signs, and to address the matter of selling the truth.
When the sorcery Simon, saw the apostles performing Miracles, he inquired to them, that he might add to his arsenal of tricks. I equivocate the selling of truth with sorcery, in that it is wrong, and violates scriptural ordinances. Those who would do such, if not openly practicing sorcery, join the ranks of the sorcerer by the confusion the would add through their actions. Often one selling "the truth" is more likely selling themselves, and promoting lies. This is not to say that one cannot find the truth for sale, it is saying however, that the act of selling the truth is wrong, and brings into question the character of the seller.
This morning, I received the 666th unopened letter to my inbox. This would be profound in the moment. Everybody likely has at one time experienced such, like standing in line at the convenience store and making a purchase which rings up to $6. 66 or yields the same in change. Seems like that happened to me on Halloween one time.
As you can imagine, I get a lot of mail. I send a lot too.
At the time of this writing, I have 2063 letters in my inbox. And probably a couple hundred in draft. Those 2063 account only for those received, though some were archival and as such indicate group letters that were sent.
The letter this morning which came up as number 666 was from prophecy Update. I signed on to thier newsletter last summer, and kept up with them for a while. I had reservations, due to the doctrine being preached, doctrine I knew was incorrect. There is one account of a rapture in Revelations Chapter 11 in which just two individuals will be taken, and contrary to popular belief, that rapture will happen in the sight of the whole world. As to the popular teaching of such, one which teaches that Gabriel will blow his trump and all believers will disappear and the "Great Tribulation" will start, well it just goes against scripture. By the logic of that doctrine, That Trump of Gabriel's would have be the 1st of 7 mentioned in Revelations, Go read 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verses 51 and 52, and see why that logic is against scripture, it is plainly stated which Trump that event will occur at.
The author of the newsletter holds to the popular mainstream rapture followed by a 7 year tribulation belief system. It was for the authors diligent monitoring of events in Israel that I chose to keep up with the newsletter. And long ago, I quit reading them, save for the ones whose headlines concern Israel, and strike me as significant upon their arrival to my inbox. However it was not the doctrine to which I quit reading. I knew the doctrine was wrong, yet I embraced the newsletter, as being worthy of subscribing to, because it offered continual updates of activity in Israel. Well, so does the entire internet, and while I did not fully realize just how so, still, I was wrong to have subscribed to the newsletter in the first place.
It was not my disagreement over doctrine that struck me to quit reading. It was a matter of something else. Something that has arisen in another arena, with another individual as recent, and so I thought this would be the opportunity of choice timing to discuss such. Before I delve into the meat of the matter, I would like to highlight the difference between Omens and Signs, that by the arrival of the letter from Prophecy Update prompts this writing now.
First of all, a reminder that Sunday Keeping and those who hold to the doctrines of the same, including their false prophetic interpretations are according to the teachings of Ellen G. White, Victor Houteff, Benjamin Roden, and David Koresh...not only wrong, but they are the Mark of the Beast. So the by virtue of such, the acceptance of those things is essentially accepting the Mark of the beast. Today, I chose to unsubscribe to that newsletter.
Now, I am not saying that because that letter popped up as number 666 in my inbox that they are of the beast. I am saying that their embracement of prophetic teachings which are false, and unscriptural places them as being a part of the system that is the mark of the beast. I am saying that according to those who came before me, Ellen G. White, Victor Houteff, Benjamin Roden, Lois Roden, and Even David Koresh, I have more than adequate examples and role models to know that to be part of the Beast.
The fact that it should arrive as number 666 in my inbox, may have been solely coincidental. But I feel it more likely, such was a sign, and personal counsel in the matter. There is difference between signs and omens. The primary difference, is that signs, are given, Omens are sought. Both are in relation to the Spiritual realm, signs, are given by God, of the Spiritual realm to the physical to those who are CHOSEN to receive them. They often bring confirmation, explaining the present, or sometimes indicating the immediate future. Omens do similar, but Omens are not always true, and Omens are sought, but those who use divination. Visions born of divination are born of those prying where they ought not, and are subject to the consequences of doing so. Just last week the Audio Sermon Posted by David Koresh was on Ezekiel 21.
In Ezekiel 21, a judgment is passed upon the King of Babylon, in which we see him using divination, and consulting omens to know the future, in order to form his judgments and keep his throne, we See the judgment of Jah’ mocking his wicked ways...
