Hubby's mom lived in south strafford for a while. Coldest I've ever been was when we went up there for Christmas one year. It snowed/flurries every single day. At 10 am and it was 0 out. Dang ice in the nostrils with every breath you took. When walking in the snow, I have never heard snow screech such a high pitch as that time. Had a heck of a time to get the car started so we could go back home to the shore line of CT. I thought that car's heater was NEVER gonna warm the car up! Teeth didn't stop chattering for a good hour into the ride home. Dear "sweet" (not) M-I-L could not understand why we had no interest in moving up there. HEH!
We were in our 20's then. Would NOT want to have to deal with those temps now as a "senior"! Don't get me wrong - it gets good and cold here too, but for some reason that 0* in VT was mind blowing!
