One reason i thought it might be of interest is the affect on Mt Isa.

Mt Isa is a long way inland. When you are preparing, how extreme an event do you prepare for? They can expect their annual rainfall in 24hours or less. Lucky Yasi has now been ratcheted down to a tropical low when it reaches Mt Isa rather than a cyclone.
Mt Isa is home of not much except some very productive (underground & open cut) lead, silver, copper and zinc mines.
Leaving Mt Isa in a hurry is not optional and not safe - no food, water or shelter out there really. The only places to go are currently less safe. No real history of stuff like this happening.
