The other project is making an Ann Arbor RR GP35. Being on a tight budget, I had to go with an Athearn GP35. I found an undecorated dummy for pretty cheap at Hobby Recycling in Grand Rapids. The Athearn shell isn't the most desirable because the hoods are a little too wide, which was due to the wider motors Athearn used way back when. The main effort in prepping the shell was to grind off the dynamic brake components, and the front headlight between the numberboards. Being out of spray paint primer, I used silver rather than buy a new can. Here is the shell after priming:
