I googled her yesterday and came across her LinkedIn page. She's younger than I thought. She only graduated medical school in 2018 which is why she's expecting my symptoms to be strictly textbook. She lacks experience plus she's very inflexible, refuses to run further tests. My previous doctor who was very proactive told me a meniscus issue is behind the water in the knee problem, a common cause behind it, but this new doctor refuses to believe it and won't do imaging to look at the meniscus. With my old doctor every appointment she was looking at my knees with ultrasound. My old doctor is my age. There's a huge difference between going to an experienced doctor versus one who is inexperienced. Ironic because my podiatrist is only 3-5 years older than this new rheumatologist but my podiatrist went through intensive foot and ankle surgical rotations as a medical resident so he's already an experienced foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction surgeon.
