The temps did get into the low 60s and the rain held off until late this afternoon. Right now it's on and off light showers but later tonight we'll get heavy rain, potential thunderstorms with heavy winds. There are currently coastal flood alerts. No alerts for the rivers yet.
I had my doctor's appointment this afternoon. My rheumatologist rewrote the PT prescription to include all the major joint areas. But she simply won't order any imaging. So I have autoimmune triggered OA and she suddenly pulled fibromyalgia out of thin air as a diagnosis and I shut that nonsense down right away. Currently there are medical researchers out there who view fibromyalgia as an autoimmune disorder and are looking for biomarkers to develop a blood test for it. But by and large fibromyalgia is viewed as a hysterical woman stress disorder. She was trying to claim that arthritis pain and fatigue is like fibromyalgia...yeah, no.
My oldest niece developed arthritis in her early 30s and her then-doctor insisted younger women don't get arthritis, so the doctor completely ignored the arthritis and diagnosed my niece with fibromyalgia instead because my niece has anxiety disorder and had panic attacks back when she was in her 20s. It was stupid nonsense...a couple of years ago my niece had surgery on one of her knees due to the rapid progression of her arthritis.
I have to make an appointment to see my primary care doctor next week. I need him to order the imaging tests. I have partially abnormal blood work. Maybe there are more autoimmune blood tests he can order, see if he can get more answers since the rheumatologist has lost interest in running tests.
