Steak Taters And Gravy. Cold Gold. I have probably guzzled a few tankers of Stag in my day. I still like to have one while grilling pork steaks in the summer in the backyard...Redbirds on the radio.
However I do not share you opinion on the "annoying craft beer trend". Good beer isn't a trend and has been around for thousands of years. It wasn't until the late 40's/early 50's that the tastes of the public changed and started moving toward light lagers. There are many breweries making wonderful traditional styles that are not hopped up and fruity. Urban Chestnut, Civil Life and Schlafly for example.. all make great beer of all styles in STL and are doing a killer job at it. If you like Stag I highly suggest trying the Urban Chestnut Zwickel.
