What would I have them do? First they could take advantage of the northern entrance that circles into the back, it's wide enough for two lanes of traffic. That was drop off and pick up when I went there. Now it is coned off once a local daycare van circles back there prior to pick up. The circle drive in front of the school should be reserved for handicapped only, it would help all the grandparents I see trying to make it across Maryville Road (well into their sixties, even older). Instead it's filled with parents who spend half an hour before the bell rings on their phones. They are told not to get out of their cars in order to speed things up, but they get out anyway.

I've seen them park on Maryville Road, put on their hazards and get out and walk to pick up their kids...a whole line of cars do that. Talk about a safety hazard!

It is the school or the district that has it mandatory that you drop your child off at the door and personally pick them up at the door after school. This buttercup will suck it up but is also smart enough to point out stupidity when she sees it. And the pick up process up there is stupid. And I also know that the district is always crying about no money for improvements but manage to employ more administrators than the national average for the size of the student body.

And you did read that I said a lot of the problem lies with the ignorant parents that refuse to follow rules, right?
