I am quite skeptical as to whether the district will do anything or not. On one hand, with as much coverage that this has gotten, one would think they would. However, as much as this town and district is all about who you are related to, and politics, it makes it highly doubtful that they will. The thing that aggravates me the most, is that each student is made to sign a code of conduct, in which taking provocative pics like that clearly violates it, and they will most likely only get “a slap on the wrist”, if anything at all is done. My daughter was on a sports team a few years ago, and got some vivid colors done in her hair in the peek-a-boo style where it couldn’t be seen unless her hair was positioned certain ways. When they found out about said colors, she was benched until the color was removed. And that was over hair color. But yet, they have to have a board meeting to discuss if there will be any disciplinary action? The double standards in this district are ridiculous. Every student in this district should be held to the same standards. The rules should apply to all the students the same, as well as the consequences be the same. Another thing, when my daughter was on said sports team, they told her that her social media accounts would be monitored, and if she did anything inappropriate on them, even as little as saying a cuss word in a post that she could be suspended or removed from the team. So why does the same rules not apply in this instance?
