Adler and Prenzler arent exactly going out on a limb when it comes to this back door scheme that the Democrats have come up with. Of course its political, what the hell else would it be? If anything they should have known that something like this was coming, maybe they did. Mayor Ed acting almost like all of this is a surprise to him is also priceless, although im not sure why he was assigned the, "I know nothing role." The Democrats want control of this Golden Goose back and why the hell not? I will be shocked if they dont pull this scam off, and secretly most Republicans believe this too. If the Republicans think that Rauner is going to save the day for them, they have more faith in him than I do. Hes about as much of a Republican as John McCain. The same situation in reverse and the Democrats would have a slam dunk with most any Democrat Governor, thats why they are so good at this kind of sleaze. They get their ducks in order before they even go down this road. My best guess is that the Democrats will come out of this controlling the board, one way or another and we all know what that means for the people living on this flood plain. Can you even imagine a similar stunt like this happening under the previous Supervisor?? Of course not. Not just no, but hell no. BUT YET HERE WE ARE. The fact that this is even being considered is really pathetic.
