Gun control would impact the symptoms and even the body count folks, but it can't fix the underlying cause, which is societal. A Nobel Peace Prize awaits the person who can fix the unbridled rage that seethes inside white males who have not the coping skills to resolve their personal rages without a weapon of mass destruction, and most are committed to their own in the process.

American folklore glorifies those that with such resolve that they would die for their cause, specifically Redcoats, but later on Japanese, and really anyone the government wishes to demonize.

You can reduce the body count, and that's worth doing. Gun control won't resolve the fact that Americans don't treat each other like Canadians do. When we resolve that, we will address the root cause, which is the golden rule isn't a rule anymore.
