This is a nice tribute to a lady I did not know...but she sounded like...my-kind-of-person.
If I am not mistaken, Mr. Twist is on the corner of Madison Ave & 27th(or/around)Street.
Mr. Twist may have been the original or first ice cream building in the city...that is where you only bought an ice-cream or soda product. I remember going there with my mom & dad & younger brother & older sister when we were all younger, much much younger. This would have been in the early 1950's. Those were the Happy Days...in Granite City.
