Frankly I don't care what they do with Madison Avenue. They tried to make it a business district years ago and it failed miserably. However, the intersection at Johnson and Nameoki is premier commercial property. A restaurant, a chain store, anything but a used car lot. JM has one ten blocks down. Give him a piece of property down that way.
I'm not sure what else I'd expect from this new economic developer. Sounds like he's asleep at the same wheel John Fairy was when he wrecked.
For God's sake zoning commission and council use your friggin heads. Condemn Coral liquors and make JM bring the old Gitcho Gas up to code which he'll never do. Then you can force Gitchos hand on selling that property.
I can just see somebody rolling into tow, passing our newer shopping center, seeing our new CVS and then seeing this used car lot.
Boy ma, looky there. These here people in Granite got them a place where we can by an old pick em up truck. Ya think the got dogs in there too ma?
The old pukes on our city council are so far out of touch. Sad but what can you expect when most of them are all over 70 years old.
