Hopefully this will clear the air... YES I've been asked to run for Mayor (Thanks for the vote of Confidence "Speaking Out") But NO I'm not running against Mayor Hagnauer.
As Far as your comments "Opie2"...
"Her focus has only been downtown because of her business." My Focus was downtown because that was my job at the Chairman of the downtown redevelopment committee.
"Does she even know there are other areas?" Absolutely I do! But I wasn't elected to represent those areas I was elected to represent Ward 1, which also includes downtown. The other areas have their own aldermen That's why the city is divided into wards.
"She couldn't even win her own ward"... You're right I lost by 2 votes. My election should be a clear example that every vote counts!
I feel things happen the way they are suppose to. I wanted to serve in city government and am proud that I was able to with a group of like minded people that wanted to make a change, and we did.
After serving my term I made a choice to invest in my community again, something else that I've been wanting to do. So, as I said things happen as they should.
Opie I would be happy to discuss any other issues that you may have with me personally so feel free to stop by one of my businesses and introduce yourself or if you prefer we could do it here but it would be nice if you would use your real name so I know who I'm dealing with other than just some random - Tom, Dick, or Harry!
