Yates was an incumbent and did indeed vote to place the issue on the ballot. That vote was unanimous. Why would any seated board member vote against the bond issue? They knew what faced them if the issue failed didn't they? As for McMasters? He was a new candidate and I don't remember his stance on the referendum or if he even took a stance. I imagine having now been seated he wished it had passed. I was quite surprised that he apparently voted for the latest raises I'm kind of glad to see that despite getting endorsed by the teachers, he apparently isn't owned by them as some of union endorsed candidates are. I believe Mrs. Knogle took a stance against the referendum. She was also endorsed by the union and lost. Translation? The union endorsement isn't that big of a deal.
