I cannot wait for the minutes from this board meeting to become public. Of course this will all have been conducted in "executive session" in other words, their private meeting where they all decide among themselves who will vote yes and who will vote no so it looks like there was true opposition to these administration raises.
I am super duper interested in how that blow hard Bill McMasters voted on this crap. He talks so much that when you wake up to whiz at four a.m. if you listen closely, somewhere you can hear him jacking his jaw.
All his campaign promises about working for the people and the taxpayers and not one word about approving raises for the administrators within two short months of being elected.
Jim Greenwald, all that bawling and carrying on about the demise of our district and the programs he hated to take from the students if that tax resolution wasn't passed. Does anyone remember him talking about increases for administrators only two months after that resolution failed? I dont. I wonder who was on his list to bump pre-retirement salaries for?
Was there some huge windfall of money or some recently undiscovered hidden bank account where money was found that will fund these salary increases? Look at the board district, how many administrative assistants/secretaries do some administrators need? And these are NOT low paying jobs.
Then to read this in the Belleville ND and Star's post about raises. How can these people look this town in the damn face? HOW CAN THEY LOOK AT THE RESIDENTS OF THIS TOWN IN THE DAMN FACE?
They all need to be gone. I wonder of Harry Briggs was one of the 29 who benefited from a 6 percent raise to kick one of his many pensions into a higher bracket. But since he is retired he is literally insignificant, except for behind the scenes.
Beverly Scroggins that old dinosaur needs to thrown out to pasture. Nuff said.
Meghan Daily was Briggs' personal handpicked and endorsed candidate for the board. That alone should have kept her from being elected. And yet, there she sits. Isn't her husband employed somewhere in the district?
Carolyn Yates? Excerpt from PRE election interview: What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
“One of the key issues in public education today is the lack of state funding. As a member of the Board of Education we have scrutinized all spending and have been extremely frugal. Due to the uncertainty of state funding and local revenue, the burden is on the local districts to identify optimal solutions. This board has been forced to make transparent cuts and it cannot continue. Therefore, we have taken steps to maintain and sustain our finances. On the April 7, ballot there will be a tax referendum for the voting public.”
Did I miss it? Do you see it? The part about passing administrative salary increases? Will someone point that out for me???????? I do see the part about being frugal. Isnt/wasn't her son given a job in the district too?
And finally on McMasters who proclaimed his new blood status. He has clearly fallen right in line as another yes man. I think I hear him yapping about it right this minute.
