Post hoc, (coincidence /causation ) even if ALL the founders and writers of the constitution were Christians (and we know they weren't all Christians) This is provable - prove your opinion and make it fact. it would still show no evidence that the document was created fulfill the idea of a "Christian Nation" This can be proven if you can prove the first part. However, if the overwhelming majority of them were Christians the evidence would still be stacked in that court - the ideas and thoughts behind it (the constitution) would still have to be largely based on Christian principles. They very carefully worded everything so as NOT to allow one deity, religion, or sect greater than equal protections under the law. The Idea of the separation of church and originally penned by Jefferson confirms this. We went over the separation of church in state earlier. Maybe if you go back to that post and prove it by using the whole letter. Our founders thought it disgusting to force ones religious ideology onto another. This is what you can't seem to understand. I don't care what YOUR faith is, I don't give a flying f*** about it. But when you use YOUR faith, in an attempt quelsh my rights, it's on. But you would force yours onto me and others? How is that different than what you say I am doing? In your religion - no one sins - every one gets to do what they want and no one should say a word about it. The problem with this religious ideology is that there are always conflicting ideas about right and wrong. This conflict can not be overcome unless we can find something to draw morality from other than the depraved human nature that Jefferson wrote about in one of his letters. I can, believe it or not, despise people like you who use your religion to brow beat and condom others, for having a different perspective. I can speak openly about that in public forums. Again, you mean just like what you are doing? Just because I have a different opinion than you and am as equally within my rights to state that opinion - I am brow beating? Never have I advocated removing (or continuing the prohibition) of liberties a person, based on there religious beliefs, color, creed, persuasion. Ahhhh that last one - is a choice and the rest are not. This statement of yours is also untrue. I am sure you agree with society punishing others when they break our laws both physical and moral - for stealing, if they be of the persuasion to do such, - for murdering, if they be of the persuasion to do such, - for divorce when a spouse cheats, if they be of a persuasion to do such, etc.... There are moral standards in place all the time that may disagree with anothers personal choice. The rest I already addressed - supper time.
