WUS, you are so right. This is just another sign of a society that thinks things like this are appropriate. In my day we wore a coat and tie in the office (if not a suit) If you wore an open collar in my office you better be picking up a file on your vacation day. Now, men work in offices in polos, teachers teach in jeans and it's considered okay. No wonder the kids think things like balls hanging from their car is "cool".

Values used to mean something in this country. Now it's all about do whatever feels good. I'm tempted to call Pizza Hut, have this guy deliver and send the pizza back. It's not his fault that his manager or franchisee has no class but he'll learn.

Opi, I totally agree with all you said here even down to the temptation of calling Pizza Hut. All places of business should take proper steps to insure that they uphold a respectable image.

No business should allow either an employee or a patron to disgrace or tarnish their image by causing offense to the majority of those patronizing their business.

Since offense can take all sorts of forms and any one can say something is offensive -

Perhaps we should recognize offense by what the majority actually does. We definitely cannot go by a set religion - being so diverse in America.

    So -

since we do not see very many of these "blue things" hanging off the backs off trucks, I think that is a great example of something most likely to be offensive.

I think also since we do not see many young ladies walking around in their bras with a see through t-shirt, that would be a great way to see that as offensive too.

Maybe I ought to call Walmart. What do ya think?
