I too remember THE AGE OF INNOCENSE, could walk downtown, not a fear of being molested or kidnapped. Sitting at the bookstore reading the comic books. Eating at Woolworth's grilled ham sandwiches. Going into that shoe store that had that machine that x-rayed your feet!!!! The swimming pool, pop corn, walking through all the little castles that were in the flower bed, just beautiful. To this day, when I come back for a visit, I do believe it is the most friendly, beautiful park in Illinois.... Have a great time, and stay safe. Sandy Sides
