Let's see -- limiting maternity leave,
Family and medical leave are covered under the FMLA passed under Clinton, 1993. 12 weeks if you have worked there for a year or more, where there are atleast fifty workers in a particular company.
family leave,
included in FMLA
caps on workers compensation claims,
this varies state to state, workman's comp is much better in Missouri than it is in Illinois
doing away with overtime,
No one is guaranteed overtime, actually many companies require you to work it as part of your regular schedule, NLRB guarantees you will be paid additional wages for anything over forty hours, union or non-union, you're covered
extending the workday to 12 hours with a 84 hour workweek.
Again, covered by NLRB, if you don't want to work over forty hours, find work elsewhere
And don't forget OSHA for safety and health issues
Peel away one protection for the worker and they keep going back for more.
The protection you speak of, each example, is covered by a federal resource, NOT UNIONS
