Now that I did my part for the day, and do not have extracurricular projects like I did last night....maybe I'll play.
I really didn't say much, but what little I said really kind of triggered a response...and even triggered....triggered an impatient plea for a response. Glad to know you care.
Valuing kids over guns....absolutely. Actually it's valuing all lives. Schools are just one subset of these senseless acts of violence --- but not the entirety. There are also workplaces, and people who fire upon public gatherings.
First...it's time to stop with the partisan blame game. It's time to stop profiling people or waiting for gotcha moments. These vermin who choose who take the lives of others have been all races, all political views. So we as a society have to ask....what do we value more, guns or lives?
IF we have this false notion that guns save lives, then as the most gun-saturated society on the planet, the USA should be the safest nation on earth.
We know that argument holds the same merit as trying to argue that we prevent fires with more gasoline. It just doesn't add up.
But you know, I already said what I would do....the last time this happened and our leaders managed to do nothing..... just thoughts and prayers.
Well I called God the other day and prayed and God said that God already gave humans the faculties to stop this problem.......God said it's a matter of what people value. If people don't value life, then there's not much God can do.
So God pretty much told us we're on our own to figure it out...not that God couldnt' intervene, God just said it's pointless if people misuse their free will. There's just nothing more God and do.
So out with the thoughts and prayers. I mean I believe and I am still praying, God is known for a good miracle from time to time.. So it's up to society to speak up on what they value.
Personally, I wouldn't go try to take a gun from a Texan or convince someone on the streets of LA --- nor would I tell a gun fetishist that he or she has to empty out their gun safe.
To think that there's going to be a cop at every school that's locked and loaded is absurd. Again, these acts of violence are everywhere.
I can't repeal the Second Amendment, though I would like to. But too many people value their right to own guns over the lives of others.
So what do I say..... have as many guns as you want. Hell...keep making them and put 20 in every home....
The constitution says nothing about the right to own bullets....just guns.
I would go after the bullets.
Americans just aren't capable of hording bullets --- and pretty soon after they shoot out their supply.....it's going to be difficult to buy more than two or three at a time....at $50 a pop.
Do you need a gun to protect your family?
Well I agree with you. Get your gun. And then pay $100 for two bullets. That's two bullets maximum a month. If you're a good shot, then you get one bad guy.
Yes, some little stinker can still get the gun and maybe may discharge a fatal bullet.....but they won't be able to take out their classroom when mom says they can't have a new Iphone 15.
$50 a bullet.
MY price went up, I think last time I proposed it...it was $10...but dammit, that's not enough.
And if that hurts the poor, it's not like the rich would be able to get any more than two bullets a month anyway.
I know that people will try to make their own forges and things like that and recycle old bullets...
But I would take over all production of gunpowder and regulate all access to it.
Guns will be a dime a dozen....but the bullets and powder will be at a premium.
Sure, there will be black market attempts and smugglers and things like that..but it will be crippling for sure.
It works for printers all the time. Printers are pretty cheap, at least they were....it's the ink that is priced at a premium.
Glocks and Rugers.....Smiths and Wessons....Colts... have all you want.
It's the bullets that I would focus on. The constitution does not protect powder, brass, or lead....it's not a RIGHT to own them. Good luck trying to ADD those things to the Second Amendment.
Since we can't keep unstable people away from guns...I would go after the bullets.
Now that's my UNIQUE deeist way of handling the situation.
Also too, I would look into best practices. Again, why is it that other industrialized nations don't have this problem but the USA does?
What are they doing differently?
In the business world and in non-profit sectors, leaders are seeking out and defining best practices all the time.
Why couldn't we do the same?
I mean I know the reason why....but if we ever valued human life over the ability to hold an instrument of killing.....we have to do something different. Doing the same as we have been doing will not yield different results.
There, that's two FREE solutions....that I should be writing a book and selling for billions.
FREE solutions that will save lives and make society better for all.
....all for the common good, nothing for personal gain.
When you ban books before you ban guns, you've admitted that you're more afraid of children learning than you are of children dying.
