And now for the official name change. the "project's" name was the Franken-6 CGT, but now that she is a CAR(!), her name becomes "Rocinante" (look it up - lol)
What a blast. The modified engine is QUICK! The triple 150s are still a little rich, but they seem to match-up wonderfully to the TSI S2 cam. The single Thrush 2" Turbo muffler isn't quite enough though . I want to apologize to the neighbors every time I start her. I'll add a Cherry Bomb as a resonator this weekend if the chassis clearance is sufficient. She hits redline as fast as my XKR does!!! Slipping a triumph into "5th gear" is sweet. Temperatures and pressures seem OK, and I love the new dashboard layout. My "eyeball" wheel alignment is actually pretty good, but she'll hit the shop for a real one next week after I get a few more shims delivered (just in case).
Thank You ALL for your insights, recommendations and horror stories. Without that extra guidance (and/or reassurance) this project would have been so much more difficult or at a minimum, so much more terrifying!
Ciao! - Jim
