I took the pistons to the shop today. The machinist is swamped since one piece of equipment is broken and one assistant is out with health issues. He had not even had time to measure the cam bores in the block for me. However, he was very reassuring that he did not see any of the obvious signs of wear on the cam bores. We'll see.
The upshot is... he's got a lot of work ahead of him and not a lot of help. My quick rebuild is now officially slow. Hopefully it will be done by the end of summer.
