It'll be awhile. Just putting the wiring harness, dash and hydraulics in the tub today. The tub is still off the chassis! But she "IS" going together finally (slowly for sure, but steadily)

: Jim,
:
: I have worked on gauges for many
: British cars including our GT6 and
: Spitfire. I have not measured the
: resistance range of those two specific
: sending units but it appears that
: Smiths standardized the resistance
: range of all fuel sending units after
: the voltage stabilizer was introduced
: in the early/mid-1960s. The range is
: nominally 270 Ohms = empty, 30 Ohms =
: full. Those values can range quite a
: bit, particularly the empty value.
:
: You should have no problem using the
: GT6 gauges with the Spit sending unit
: or vice-versa. If the gauges are not
: working as you expect, post back and
: we'll help you troubleshoot the system.

: Hi folks,
:
: Has anyone who's put together a CGT6
: (or other Frankenstein project) had any
: problems with the Spit's tank sending a
: signal to a GT6 gauge? Are the ohm
: ranges the same for both cars' sending
: units?
:
: Thanks! - Jim M
