Yeh - I'm considering multiple "creative" locations for things. Multi-spark boxes usually make some noise while operating so I'm thinking about mounting my Mallory box under the fender and on top of the left wheel well. I can use the area just outboard of the master cylinders for the cruise control servo unit. With the switch to a Delco alternator, the regulator's real estate is open. I'd like to put in an electric windshield washer - more space needed again. And then there's the Fireball ignition box and possibly an air/oil separator.
Such fun!

: Many, many years ago I installed an
: aftermarket (Zemco?) cruise control on
: our VW Rabbit. It used a vacuum servo
: for the throttle actuation and I made a
: bracket to attach it to the strut
: tower. Perhaps you could do something
: similar and mount your servo somewhere
: other than on the bulkhead.
:
: On the VW I made an "L"
: bracket and attached it to the pedal
: box. I attached a microswitch to the
: bracket and had it resting on the pedal
: so it would close its contacts when the
: pedal was depressed. Were I doing this
: again today I would use the generic
: brake light switch you can buy from BP
: Northwest. It's inexpensive and
: designed for the task. The only
: downside is I don't think they come
: with the mounting jam nut.
:
: In other news, the wife's GT6 got 2nd
: place in the Spitfire/GT6 category at
: today's MG Car Club show. Lots of nice
: Triumphs to look at and lots of nice
: Triumph owners to hang out with.

: Sure thing Doug. It's gonna be a while
: of course. The key was finding a small
: (About 1" square) control panel
: for the dash. I'm still not sure where
: I'm going to mount the servo - space on
: the firewall is tight. And how (if)
: I'll install the clutch disconnect
: switch.
