Why thank you RC, that's why I'm posting it on here so people will know they are two routes in becoming an anesthetist instead of one route. One is "MEDICAL" route (AAAA) with pre-med back ground undergraduate BS/BSc./BA, MCAT/GRE, AA-C, MMSc., RN,AA-C, MSA, AA-C, MHSc., AA-C, MEd, AA-C, DHSc., (Doctor of Health Science Practice Anesthesia), and/or PhD. = AA-C to M.D., to M.D.A., Medical Doctor, Anesthesiologist (Independent Practice) or D.O. to D.O.A. Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Anesthesiologist. One is "NURSING" route (AANA) with nursing back ground BSN, GRE/MAT, CRNA,MSN = DNSc., DNP, DNAP (Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice) and PhD. I have tremendous respect for CRNAs in the same manner as AA-Cs for the exceptional care both anesthetist provide in and out of the ACT model. I'm just not fond of their negative tactics (politics) the AANA use against the AAAA profession, AA/AA-C/RN,AA-C. The AANA wants you to believe that there's only one type of anesthetist which is not true no offense. Why? CRNAs see AA-Cs as a political issue and direct competition especially the younger CRNAs who are coming out of NA school today vs. the older mature CRNAs who are a lot more open minded in integrating AA-Cs into the ACT practice as true team players and do not see AA-Cs as a threat in the ACT sad but true. FACT:the vast majority SRNAs (not all SRNAs agree with they're fellow SRNAs behavior) today are being brain washed when they enter CRNA school to be Anti-AA FACT!. Which ever route you decide to take AA-C or CRNA I wish you all the best in your career sincerely.
