General questions, Emory Questions Archived Message

Posted by Lindsey on November 10, 2008, 11:21 am

First off, the more general comments and questions, I don’t believe that I am coming upon the AA program in a normal way, but I’m unsure of just what would be considered normal in this field. I have my bachelors in engineering and finished my MPH at Emory this past spring. While looking into PA programs, I had several individuals suggest looking into AA, and the hands on nature and systems thinking seemed to be a better fit with me.

Anyhow, I was wondering how other individuals here happened upon the AA program in general? Also, how did you pick your program from those available?

I’m still trying to decide individuals to serve as my person references. I already have two professors in mind, but I was wondering if I would be better to use one of the individuals I have been observing with (even though I have not known them for an extended period of time) or someone completely different (such as an employer)?

I am finishing up my application to Emory’s AA program this week (when I finish my observing hours). I was wondering if anyone else on here has applied/is applying/attending Emory’s program, and if so, how they have found the experience?

I realize that I have asked a lot of questions, but I would really love to hear from anyone else out there who has some helpful thoughts they might like to share.

    Thank you so much!
