Most rural and more and more midsize hospitals embrace the 2 provider model, there are anesthesiologists and CRNA's in the hospital but each do there own cases and the anesthesiolgist does not "supervise", and to use tour own number 15-20%. That can give a lot of choice, in addition using the whole 50 states insures you are not dependant on one hospital or group, it may be a pain in the ass to move but it can be done, unlike the AA who at this time and for the next 10-20 years at least will be restricted to a few areas, not just restricted by law mind you but by custom. A lot of hospitals and providers will be wary of using a new (for them) and unknown (to them) anesthesia provider.
