    I did some additional research on this.

    While the PRACTICE LAWS may say the CRNA can function indepenently and do spinals and epidurals, how they function in a GROUP may be exactly the same due to the job description at the place of employment.

    Examples: "The AA/CRNA will monitor patients receiving spinal and/or epidural anesthesia placed by MDA." or "The AA/CRNA will assist the MDA with the placement of central lines." In these two examples, since the JOB DESCRIPTION is the same, they will interchangeable.

    So bottom line, JOB DESCRIPTION at the place of employment is not the same as SCOPE OF PRACTICE enacted by the state. The job description could be exactly the same in a group setting....

    IMO if that is the case, since they both be doing the same job they should get the same pay, with some variation based upon experience and performance.
