I live in Costa Rica. I am studying Indigenous Black Earth here. (Fertile Earth made by original people : lIke Amazonian Terra Preta).
This soil has a charcteric of having Ancient Shards buried in the black earth.
However, one of these 'shards' was a piece of what may be Willow Ware. It is blue glaze on earthernware core.
The scene is Oriental. But, there appears to be several 'Soldiers' with Triangular hats, in a boat with muskets.
I found a similar image, but newer looking, from an Archaeological dig in Australia from the early 1800s.
My Shard' is a small piece, a little over an inch square.
I'm am trying to date this image. This area was settled in the 1850s and the indigenous farming probably ended at that time.
