Japan marked willow first appeared as early as the late 1930s and continued through the 70s. Most of the willow seen today marked Japan is from the 50s-60s. A lot of this willow was sold in five-n-dime type stores or by mail order. Of course, those pieces marked Occupied Japan are from the occupied years, about 1945-52.
