Hello all, for some time I have been obsessing over a cobalt. Blue and white kitchen, determined to find some gorgeous china to fill it. Driving past a yard sale today I spied a couple pieces and had to go look. It ended up being a whole set (dinner plates, side plates, serving dishes, mugs, bowls, cups and saucers). The seller said his wife purchased it in germany and that it was the Willow pattern. Well I didnt know what that meant but I loved it and bought it all for $110. I in no way regret this purchase but I am sort of wondering about the details and if I got a good deal - especially when I saw a willow set on walmart.com.
Thats where you come in. All of the cups have "churchill england" around the bottom of the cups not printed but part of the cup itself. The dishes are stamped on the bottom with a lions head and churchill england. Some say willow also. Some say dishwasher/microwave safe so they obviously cant be too old. Thoughts? Did I get a good deal at least, to start my collection?
