This is not the Standard or Traditional Willow pattern. It is one of the major willow variant patterns that is known as Two Temples II variation Broseley. It was first used on porcelain in England for tea ware and was dressier than the Standard willow pattern that started out as a dinner ware pattern. Much of the early Two Temples II pieces were decorated in gold (teapots, creamer, sugar and teacups and saucers. The piece you show is a 20th century Japanese copy of the pattern, and the pattern elements are crowded together so that there is very little space between the motifs. The bridge has only one arch, and the bridge with 2 people is on the right side of the pattern as you face it instead of the left as on the traditional willow pattern. Also there are no birds. The Willow Legend doesn't pertain to this version.
