I did neglect to put the size of the gravy/sauce tureen--the underplate is approx 7-l/2" long and 5" wide, while the tureen itself is about 7" x 4" wide x 4-l/2" (to the tip of lid)high, so I assume it would be for sauces/gravies. It also seems like earthenware, but could be ironstone since there isn't any obvious crazing. Connie, was the brown piece in your book semi-porcelain? I'll check my old newsletters and catalogs to see if I can find a similar one. At least now I know what to look for. Thanks again!
