No, there is no way you can tell anything about a piece of ceramic if it has only an impresed O on the bottom. That is a mark put in when the pot was made -- even before it was decorated. A photo would be more helpful, but there again, it might not be recognizable as to maker. It would perhaps give an idea as to age.
