I don't know what books you are consulting, but Pelew is a Flow Blue pattern pictured and described by Petra Williams in her first book: Flow Blue China, An Aid to Identification, that came out in 1971. It is also in Jeffrey Snyder's Schiffer books on Flow Blue: A POCKET GUIDE TO FLOW BLUE, FLOW BLUE, AND FASCINATING FLOW BLUE. These three books have price guides with them. According to Petra Williams, the Pelew islands are situated 350 miles east of the Phillipines. There are about 75 islands, wooded, mountainous and surrounded by coral reefs. E. Challinor is given the dates c. 1842-72 by Geoffrey Godden in his book IRONSTONE. Various printed E. Challinor marks occur on ironstone wares. Most seem to pertain to factories in Tunstall, Staffordshire; however, there was also a firm (E. Challinor & Co.) in Fenton from c. 1854-62. You might find more information from the Flow Blue Collectors Website, but they will not give estimates on price (nor will we).
