Picking wildflowers and weeds to give someone?Do kids do that anymore?

My favorite thing was to pick queen Anne's lace and sticking them in water colored with food coloring.The water is drawn up to color the white blooms beautiful pastels.Kids would think that was crazy now.Or would they?
