Have been thinking and someone did a nice thing for me some yrs ago when our oldest was in college. I had gotten permission from my employer to take a second part time job to help pay tuition as she was in a private university that was costly even with nice scholarships, etc.

We had a neighbor that followed our girls school activities and knew that the girls were good students and citizens. She frequented the dog track and was quite successful in her betting, that was where my second job was, I worked in guest services so she saw me there my few times a week.Anyway, I had major surgery and was home bound about 5 weeks from both jobs, she had a major win, and shared a nice little gift with me of her winnings.That was so unexpected, tho I did have medical leave from my main job, I had nothing from my part time one so her unexpected gift help make up what I used toward the college costs we all were working for.
